After years without a television, I finally caved in. (“What
did you do before?” asked the cable guy. “Read?”) So of course, I’ve
been watching a lot of TV lately. My favorite new program? “Running in
Heels,” the behind-the-scenes look at Marie Claire magazine through the
eyes of three interns. It’s fun and a bit catty, like all good fashion
reality TV. I checked in with this semester’s Lancôme interns, Abby and
Katharine, to see what they thought.
“You would never walk around barefoot, drinking Champagne at a work party like one of the TV interns did, right?”
“Never,” they said. Phew.
“And the intern stuff is kind of far-fetched, right?”
“Nope. Very realistic,” said Abby.
“We could relate,” added Katharine.
Yikes. Well, the Lancôme interns do work really hard. It’s not like they play with Juicy Tubes all day long. (We’ll hear more from Abby and Katharine at a later date.) In the meantime, let us know what your favorite fashion reality TV show is. We’ll pick three names at random and you’ll win a Juicy Tube in Spring Fling, sheer pink that a certain major nominee wore to the Academy Awards. After all, if you’re going to run in heels, you need glossy lips too!
